What Can You Expect?

If you are one of the lucky players in the upcoming VGSR Golf Tournament, you can expect a wonderful afternoon of golf on a course which was ranked “#3, Best Courses you can play, 2009” by Golfweek magazine. As its name indicates, the Blue Ridge Shadows golf club is located in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Skyline Drive and the scenic Shenandoah Valley. This spectacular Tom Clark designed 18-hole championship golf course is located an hour from Washington DC and Northern Virginia.

We’ll have contests and prizes including:
• $50,000 Hole in One Prize (50/50 – Lucky Golfer Wins $25,000 and VGSR Receives $25,000)
• Bonus Hole #12 – Seven-Day Cruise
• Bonus Hole #3 – Golf Clubs (2-PW)

You will have an opportunity to meet some of the wonderful GSDs that have either been adopted or are currently in VGSR foster care. They will be wandering the golf course and the club house; enjoying the people, the course, and the day. It is truly “golf4dogs” and our 4 legged friends want you to see how much your support is appreciated. Our volunteers will be available to answer questions about VGSR, rescues, GSDs and dogs in general.

After an exciting afternoon of golf, our players will be treated to dinner, an awards ceremony and the culmination of our Silent Auction and Chinese Raffle. Of course, the after-golf activities are not limited to golfers only - anyone is welcome to join us for dinner and have a great time. So, if you are a golfer but your spouse, significant other and/or friend isn’t but loves dogs, shopping and having a good time, submit your entry to play and make a dinner only reservation for your special friend. You won’t regret it!
